CoLAT believes that its funds are best used for education and research. Thus it does not generally support work on construction sites, the costs of which should be borne by developers; it seeks to promote research, for instance in new ways such as computer reconstructions (of Holy Trinity Priory, centre) and the writing up of excavations, such as those along the historic waterfront (here the Steelyard is shown in Hollar's view of 1647 (pictures copyright MoLAS)

We welcome donations from individuals, companies, charities and institutions. Because we work with archaeologists in the London area, we know what needs to be funded. We can help tailor a prospective donation to a suitable project and one which is close to the interests of the donor.
